Meadow Gold, the sole dairy processor in the State of Hawaii, currently occupies 1.42 acres of state land and this project would allow us to expand on our over 30-year-old facility by an additional 1.6 acres. It will give us capacity to introduce new local products like our plant based line, lactose free line and new nectars; innovate our packaging capabilities and double our production capacity. We currently process 200k gallons of milk per month, all of which is delivered to local schools, hospitals, retailers and business statewide. This expansion will also create 30% more jobs in just our facility alone which is located in an area considered by US Small Business Association as “low income”.
