In 1897, seven island dairies united to form the Dairymen’s Association that would later become known as Meadow Gold.

Lani Moo is named our official Ambassador of Good Health and Nutrition
1950
The winner of Dairymen’s calf naming contest for Oahu is Patricia Colburn, 7 years old
1953
The first Healthy Baby Contest is held by the Honolulu Chinese Jacees to promote healthy families in Hawaii
1959
Dairymen’s Association changes its name to Meadow Gold Dairies Hawai’i
1971
Haleakala Dairy on Maui, Hawai’i launches POG juice
1986
Beatrice Foods acquires Meadow Gold Dairies
2001
Dean Foods acquires Meadow Gold Dairies

Meadow Gold’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of Hawaii’s families begins with our dedication to making quality products. We source our milk from the last remaining local dairy and supplement with California milk to meet Hawaii’s demand. After the first pasteurization on the mainland, we re- test the milk and re- pasteurized in Hilo. Cleaning and sanitizing are routine, with our pasteurization system undergoing a 3-hour cleaning every 24 hours. We take great pride in maintaining our facilites and in achieving the highest level 3 quality food certification.
